i agree, make the pizza close to the edge of your worksurface and then pull it onto the peel and bake, take a look at one of my teachers doing the same thing.

I just use a thin wooden chopping/pastry board as a peel. Works great for me.
Also Have used a thin metal try to decent affect. Although had a few sticking issues with that |
