Excellent recipe! A keeper! Smile

*I added a bit olive oil (seemed to need it) and crushed red pepper.

Margherita Pasta

All the flavors of margherita pizza are made into an irresistible pasta dish.

Margherita Pasta

6 ounces (1 1/2 cups) uncooked dried penne pasta
1/4 cup Land O LakesŪ Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic
2 medium (2 cups) tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain; return to saucepan. Keep warm.

Meanwhile, melt Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds or until softened. Add tomatoes and basil; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until heated through (1 to 2 minutes). Add pasta and Parmesan cheese, stir until combined. Serve immediately.

He is 21. He just got a crock pot from Grandma last year and I had to show him how to do a few recipes ... so we'll see. And he is the manager of a popular sandwich shop in town! Laughing

Well, nothing that Jimmy would want him to share. LOL.

His idea of special is extra bacon on his subs, haha. I'll ask him and see if he has anything. Cool

Bacon should be a food group! Yes?

Jimmy John's? We have yet to try it, heard nothing but great things. We have one in Orlando, but when we go there, we want to sit and have a beer. Cool

Yep. Very Happy He worked his way up from a delivery guy a few years ago and made his Dad proud, he is good at what he does. Cool They have really good subs too, I like them. Good bread.

I agree about bacon! Oh man, that's why I grew tomatoes last summer. For my BLT's!

I bet those tomatoes rocked! haven't had luck with growing tomatoes here, now in VA was different. We have a greenhouse and I have yet to grow "hot house".

I love a big thick BLT with EXTRA mayo.

Heck yeah! I grew some really good tasting Amish Brandy Wine tomatoes on my deck, and a bunch of cherry's out in the garden. My dog loves those cherry's!

Sometimes it just as easy to go to the store and give them a few bucks too though .. Embarassed heck of a lot easier! Laughing

May be easier but not as good! Ours stores tomatoes don't taste like like they used to.

Funny about your dog and the tomatoes. Our last Germ Shep. would eat my deck habaneros! Very Happy
