I grew up in the shadows of NYC (Bayonne NJ) and I am new to pizza making. I had been searching for a book that would teach me how to make authentic "old-school" pizza. After several failed attempts, I found The Ultimate Pizza Manual. It it very through, every step of the way. I am proud to say that I made some fantastic pizza, this weekend. It is well worth the price, for the results.

Hi! I also own this book and it's incredible. I tried for years to make a real, large, NYC-Italian-style pizza (since no longer around here). I even tried Dominick's PhD pizza engineering book. But THE ULTIMATE PIZZA MANUAL (especially with all it's photos) REALLY made it happen!! And easily, too, with special tricks for making an 18" pizza in a regular home oven. Even getting it into the oven was almost impossible. The Ultimate Pizza Manual made it soooo easy!!

[size=24]OMG! There is a new improved version of The Ultimate Pizza Manual: The Ultimate Pizza Manual 2.0.

I haven't tried it yet, but it promises a lot in the Amazon description: Turning your grill into a pizza oven and guacamole topping, for example, AND a huge 19" pizza, in my home oven?! Seriously?!

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0692975624/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Please let me know if anyone has tried this book yet.

xoxo Jane
