From the Food Network:

"Challenge: Pizza Champions
Four world champion pizza acrobats battle it out at Mall of America, attempting to toss, roll and spin their way into the Guinness Book of World Records. A fourth competition tests their pizza-making skills, as they each have 10 minutes to put together a gourmet pizza using none of America's top 10 ingredients. $10,000 goes to the pizziola with the most points at the end of the day".

Very entertaining show with four of the absolute best pizza handlers in the world. The show featured Tony Gemignani, ,Pyzano's Pizzeria , Castro Valley, Calif., Michael Shepherd, Michael Angelo's Pizza, Kenton, Ohio, Joe Carlucci, Famous Joe's, Danbury, Connecticut and Siler Chapman, Pizza Works, Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Having Big Dave Ostrander as one of the judges was an added treat. Big Dave has done much to promote the entire pizza industry.

The highest pizza toss was an exciting competition with all four pizzaiolos trying to best each other.

The next event was a timed event. You had to roll a pizza dough back and forht accross your shoulders.

Watching Tony Gemignani take the pizza roll accross the shoulder Guiness World Record was incredible. The first thing he did when he won was to make a phone call. Who do you call when you find out you are a Guiness World Record holder?

Your mom of course!

I greatly enjoyed the Extreme Pizza Challenge where the competitors created sensational pizzas without the top ten pizza ingredients. For example no pepperoni, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and other ingredients commonly found on pizza was allowed.

Each pizza created was very uncommon. Talk about thinking outside of the pizza box!

Tony G. created a Cal-Italia pizza which included four cheeses (including fresh mozzarela, gorgonzola cheeses and Prociutto (an Italian Ham). (There was a great tip for when you use Prociutto. Put it on the pizza, after the pizza has been cooked).

The final event featured a pizza stretch: who could stretch their dough the widest without ripping it. There was excitement, and thrills right to the very end of the show.

This is a must see for anyone who ever thought about pizza. I highly recomment this pizza show with hesitation or reservation.

This is a can't miss show for any pizza lover!

Plus you can get all four of the pizza recipes featured on this show.
