Albert,

You have another winner with the latest CD, Legends of Pizza, vol 2 (LoPv2). The three interviews on this CD are as incredible as the first in the series. All three interviewees are involved in entirely different aspects of the pizza world, but each remains just as passionate about their pizza.

This CD is really a contrast in styles - from a master of artisan dough, to the king of acrobatic dough tossing, to the creativity of an artist in combining flavors.

For starters you interview Brian Spangler for a full 24 minutes!! Brian (BTW, a member of PizzaTherapy.com forum, username: Apizza Scholls) is a master artisan bread baker who decided to branch out into pizza. He is, like Chris Bianco from LoPv1, an artist with a desire to nourish souls. His passion to pizza shines through, he even gives tips for home pizza makers. Hearing Brian talk about his crust makes me hungry.

Tony Gemignani started making pizzas with his brother while in high school and started tossing dough when the shop wasn't busy. He is now a pizza ambassador, travelling the globe spinning dough and teaching others to give it a try. Meanwhile, he cranks out pies with his brother in their shop when he is home. Fascinating guy!

Ed LaDou is a pioneer of California pizza. As a pizzaiolo he started scarfing pizza toppings from items on the buffet line, and took detailed notes about what worked and didn't. A humble visionary who has taken incredible risks, and a long circuitous route, to get to the top of his craft.

With Volume 2, like Volume 1, I listen to it for inspiration a few hours before my first pizza goes in the oven.

Albert, you have another great achievement with Legends, V 2!

So, looking for nominations for LoPv3? Here are mine:
- Ron Molinaro, pizzaiolo at Il Pizzaiolo in Mt. Lebanon, PA and American member of the VPN
- Evelyne Slomon, chef at Nizza La Bella, author of The Pizza Book (rumored new edition out soon), and pizza industry consultant, historian, and writer (PMQ, etc.)
