Thank you, Mike!
The coolest thing about the "new" official website is that on the
homepage you get to see an actual home movie of Frank Pepe making pizza.
It's on the lower right hand side of the page.
Here is the link:
http://www.pepespizzeria.com/
They also have a great Pepe's store with all kinds of Pepe's gear. I think the prices are somewhat reasonable.
Also please check out this video interview, I did recently with Gary Bimonte, grandson of Frank Pepe.
Here is the link:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/video/16340/a_visit_to_pepes_pizzeria_wooster_street.html
Here is what is very cool about this interview:
1) You get to see the pizzaiolo actually construct a Pepe's Pizza
2) You get to see a great shot of the famous coal fired oven at Pepe's.
I would greatlly appreciate any of your comments of the video....
thanks,

Is It possible to cook pizza dough in a microwave oven? Ok... this year im staying in Japan. And I was recently at a friend's house for dinner. I guess she was trying to be nice becuase instead of rice and chicken she made "pizza". Afterwards I made the remark that it wasn't like American Pizza and so, I told her I would cook some. The problem that I have run into is that she lives in a traditional Japanese House and that means she has no oven. But, she has a microwave. Is it possible to cook pizza dough into decent crust in the microwave? |
