It was 265 miles round trip, but it was well worth it. Brian and his crew at Apizza Scholls always make the long trip a pleasure. Brian's pizza is an equal to a New Haven Pizza, his crust is superb, ingredients the best. I'm really impressed by his tomato sauce, it throws me back to the days when I had pizza at the Venice on Dixwell Ave. in Hamden, Connecticut. It has an incredible little saltiness to it. There is a great Swiss Pastry Shop next door, so you can get some goodies for the ride home. We had three (3) large pizzas to go, pastries, and did I mention, no sales tax, makes the stop at the liquor store a great deal. Brian and crew, you da bes, in da wes. Buon Natale!!! _________________ Mike Devine |
