Thanks for your email. I haven't used your recipe yet, but I was wondering if it could be done with the mixmaster and bread hooks.
I recently made pizza, but I used an old recipe I had from www.Breadworld.com
This recipe called for 2-1/2 to 3 cups of flour with 1 envelope Fleischmann's RapidRise Yeast.
Your recipe is for 4 cups of flour and up to 2 pkgs of yeast. Why the discrepancy?
My response:
Yes absoultely. you can use a dough hook to mix the yeast.
You do not have to change the recipe at all.
You can use 1 pack of yeast with no problem.
If you will be making the pizza that day you can use a bit more yeast. when I first started to make pizza I made it that day so I used two packs of yeast.
Now I realize you don't need that much yeast to make your pizza dough work.
I've been using 1 pack of yeast lately, and I make it the day before and let it proof overnight in the fridge.
That is what I recommend.
As I always say, it depends on your own taste.
Try it and see what works for you.
i think your original bread world dough recipe is a good one. _________________ "Pizza on Earth...Good Will to All!"
