I don't know if this was a re-run but I watched a show on new york vs chicago pizza a while ago with history and interveiws of the most famous in each of these citys. The TC used firefighter from each city as judge's and a 3rd team of fire fighters from L.A. to break the tie. L.A. team voted 10 - 2 in favor of New York pizza (I like thin best also) As one would guess New York team voted for N.Y. pies and vise versa.

Alton Brown on Food Network has done a few shows on Pizza. In fact his dough recipe looks very similar to Albert's. He can be a bit dogmatic about some things but if you get past that the recipes are usually pretty good.
