Nancy wanted me to post the following poem:
Di Carlo's is a Steubenville, Ohio Valley Pizza (nothing like
it anywhere)I can only go there in my mind!
Di Carlo's In My Mind
In those days
Our lives WERE pizza
On a Friday night
Like wolves hungry for blood
We waited
But not in line,
Crowding the shop, hot as an openhearth
Smelling ahead
Tasting our turn
While pans slapped in and out of oven doors
To ancient rhythym
To steeltown rhythym
On stainless steel
Is it ours?
Now.......
Finally....
Our ends and middles.....
I am almost there
Again......in my mind
My mind is smiling.
