A few years ago we traveled to Williamsburg, Virginia. Williamsburg
recreates colonial
life with an entire town, exhibits,
artifacts and characters. We had a wonderful time.

They also have have several museums. This was how I was first introduced to James Hampton.
He created a masterpiece called:

“The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nation’s Millennium General Assembly”

This was one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen in my life.
You can see some pictures and read all about it, in my Bimwah Blog, here:

This is definitely worth a look!

Sincerely,

Albert

I have to say, James Hampton was an extrordinary person.

Being in the presence of this masterpice was an incredible experience.

As we looked at all of the intricate designs we could feel his presence.

It was put together with items that would be discarded by most people.

We were all amazed and spent quite a bit of time studying it.

If you ever get a chance, I really urge you to check it out.

You can get up close and personal with the Throne at this interactive link from the Smithsonian:

Take a little time to zoom around and look at all of the very detailed designs. Really incredible!
