Thanks for the heads-up. I was thinking that spinach and cheese calzones were sounding good.. Go figure. It's appears Florida's not under scrutiny as yet, though.

Fresh spinach is a primary ingredient for the white pizza I make. I shall miss it until this passes!
I guess it's another reason for me to grow my own. Being in Florida has its benefits - you can pretty much have a garden year-round. The seeds went in the ground today! _________________ "Papa Don"

I never eat untreated vegetables from the store without either pickling or boiling them. I like lettuce and green onions raw, so I drown them in vinegar first to kill bacteria. Do a search using "Effects of vinegar on e coli" Whe I raised my own Jalapenos I slit them, cold packed them in pint jars, put a tablespoon of sea salt (Kosher salt) on top, and poured boiling, full strength white vinegar on the salt to fill the jar which was immediately capped and ringed. And yes, they'll keep after opening, though I store them in the refrigerator at about 33-34 degrees F. Don't use table salt, they'll become mushy. _________________ http://www.geocities.com/pizzaprices/pizzaprices.html |
