Macaroni, Mushrooms and Cheese.
A Holy Trinity of Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Macaroni,

  • mushrooms,  (I prefer Portobello)

  • tomatoes puree or Tomato Sauce

  • Parmesan Cheese

  • Cheddar Cheese

  • butter,

  • pepper,

  • salt,

  • olive oil

Directions

  1. Boil about 1 lb. (pound) of macaroni,

  2. Sauté four or five mushrooms in olive oil with pepper and salt. 

  3. Put a layer of the macaroni in a buttered fireproof dish, then a layer of tomatoes puree or Tomato Sauce, then a layer of the mushrooms and another layer of macaroni. 

  4.  Dust it all over with grated Parmesan and Cheddar, put it in the oven for half an hour at 325 °

  5. Serve very hot.
